I hear what you are saying… opens up questions about the ownership of work, how workers are disempowered by the removal of agency in varying and often quite subtle ways. How does language in the workplace obfuscate the realities of labour exchange, what are common preconceptions around labour; including why is it necessary? How do we decide which forms of labour are of value; what happens when the definition of valuable labour becomes increasingly narrow, and those outside of this definition are increasingly devalued and exchangeable?
